School Review Team Composition

Selecting a Team

Some things to consider when identifying Review Team members:

Most good teams represent a variety of experiences.  While it is important to include site leaders, teachers, parents, and students who are outspoken and involved in running many aspects of a campus, it can also be important to include fresh perspectives, emerging leaders, and people who participate in a variety of activities.

Review Team members must be thoughtful and willing to participate fully in the process; performing such tasks as:

  • reading or reviewing the school plan
  • reading and interpreting data
  • writing or editing
  • observing classes
  • sharing observations
  • drawing conclusions
