Observing Classes

Visiting classrooms is one of the qualitative pieces of School Review. Review Teams often try to visit as many classes as possible, and often schools will plan to observe for specific factors determined during the Pre-Review Reflection.

To support Review Teams, we have provided a Classroom Observation tool , but schools may choose to use a pre-existing template developed by the school site.

We have also provided guidelines: Collecting and Analyzing Data to support Review Teams as they prepare stakeholders, especially parents and community members, to visit classrooms and process qualitative data.
