SHARING REVIEW PRACTICES

Tips for Involving District Representatives and Community Members: Multiple Schools

  • Communicate with them prior to the review
  • Email Pre-Review Reflection at least 3 days prior to Review Day
  • Share your goals for Review Day
  • Send a map and parking information
  • Consider what you most want them to look for--how do you want to use their eyes and fresh perspective?
  • Invite representatives to introduce themselves and explain their purpose or position
  • Find out about their expertise
    • When relevant, ensure these reviewers have the opportunity to visit classrooms that are in their area of expertise
    • Engage community and district representatives in your implementation plan--how can they continue to support your school?
  • Include district representatives and community members when filling out Review Reflection
